About 30 casualties and injuries in an explosion that targeted a guesthouse of Thiab al-Mashi the oldest Arab parliamentarians

 

A violent explosion was heard after midnight yesterday in the countryside of Manbij city, it was caused by a member of the “Islamic State” detonating himself using an explosive belt in one of the guesthouses at al-Mashi village, which killed and injured about 30 people, 10 of them at least were confirmed dead  including 2 citizen women, all of them are from the family of Thiab al-Mashi one of the oldest Arab parliamentarians, who remained a member of the Syrian parliament for about 55 years, and intersecting sources said that the explosion took place during the presence of a current parliament member in the al-Mashi village which is his birthplace, the village is and controlled by Manbij Military Council and Syria Democratic Forces, while violent clashes took place after midnight yesterday between the Syria Democratic Forces and the Manbij Military Council against the “Islamic State”, after a violent attack by the organization on Dandaniyyah area near Manbij, which resulted in violent clashes took place between both parties for hours, accompanied by detonating three booby trapped vehicles by the organization targeting positions and locations of the SDF, and information about casualties in the ranks of both parties.
