After 24 of Siege, the IS pulls back from Dabeq strategic town

Rebels backed by Turkish forces and airstrikes were able to take control on Dabeq town, which is the most important town for the IS, after less than 24 hours of starting an attack on the area. SOHR was informed that the IS pulled back from the town after pulling back from Ehtimlat and Soran A’zaz towards the northern eastern countryside, what helped rebels to advance quickly in the area, Rebels are scanning the areas for landmines and hidden militants.

It is worth to mention that the IS tried strongly to keep the town by calling for reinforcements from al-Ishra army, before rebels advance between Ikhten and Marea and besiege the IS and cut its supply roads between the area and the northern eastern countryside of Aleppo.
SOHR activists have observed during the past few days, 1200 militants moving to back up the IS in Dabeq after pulling them back from Homs and other fighting fronts with SDF, 1000 of them are non-Syrian who came to al_Raqqa and then to Dabeq which witnessed violent clashes against rebels backed by Turkish forces, in attempt to counter attack rebels after reaching 2km from Dabeq after securing Turkman Bareh and Dwebeq fronts, which led to the death of dozens of fighters from both parties.

It is worth to mention that IS took control on Dabeq in the 13th of August 2014 after violent clashes against rebels in the battle of ” Revenge for the virgins ” believing that this battle is made for a revenge for the sisters who have been insulted by rebels in Aleppo and Tal Rifaat areas which are still under control by rebels.
