Rahman Corps issues a statement regarding the “popular movement in the Eastern Ghouta”

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received a copy of a statement issued by Rahman Corps, regarding the demands of the “popular movement in the Eastern Ghouta”, in which they said that in response to the demands of people in the Eastern Ghouta, and after their meeting with the popular movement,  they assure the people the following:

  1. Inviting Jaysh al-Islam commander for immediate meeting with the leader of Rahman Corps to discuss the Ghouta issues and find solutions to them.
  2. Inviting all factions in the Eastern Ghouta to form a joint military operations room.
  3. Lifting checkpoints in the Eastern Ghouta and removing earth mounds, including the ones at the entrance of Douma city.
  4. Coordination with the Six-Party Committee to form a committee to end right issues between both parties within a period determined by the Committee.

At the end of the statement they called people to avoid military headquarters of the factions and to start demonstrations in public squares and of the interior neighborhoods away from the front to ensure their security and safety.
