Altercation between supporters of Rahman Corps and Jaysh al-Islam made a meeting about the “dangerous happenings” in the Eastern Ghouta fail

The activists of the Syrian Observatory for human rights monitored on Monday the “Military Council in the Eastern Ghouta” organizing a meeting for all factions and figures of the battling factions in the Eastern Ghouta, in addition to civilian activities and notables of the Eastern Ghouta, and that in order to discuss the happenings and the serious developments in the Eastern Ghouta, the meeting was held in areas controlled by Rahman Corps in the Ghouta.

And in the details monitored by the activists of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the meeting did not witness the presence of any military figure from Rahman Corps or Jaysh al-Islam because a checkpoint of the Corps near Hamoria town banned several leaders of Jaysh al-Islam from passing to attend the meeting, although the “Ghouta police and the military Council” of Jaysh al-Islam promised to pass and to facilitate the access and the security protection, and during the talk which took place at the meeting, a spokesman of the military council said that “some of the words of the speakers may hurt some of the audience, and everyone has to complete the meeting if they care about in the Eastern Ghouta”, after that an altercation took place between the speaker of the popular movement, who said that the fronts of Jaysh al-Islam are burning while the rest of fronts are asleep, that is when he was faced by one of the attendees pro-Rahman Corps, objecting and saying “we did not come here to hurt each other”, followed by a altercations and cursing between two persons, one of them is taking the side of Jaysh al-Islam and the other one is taking the side of Rahman Corps, and that is when everyone left the meeting after its failure, which spread resentment among the people in the cities and towns of the eastern Ghouta, with the clashes are approaching the stronghold of Jaysh al-Islam in the Eastern Ghouta.
