“Mas whipping” by the “Islamic State” against some 40 people in al-Mayadin city

The activists of the Syrian Observatory for human rights monitored after this afternoon’s prayers in the city of al-Mayadin east of Deir Ezzor province, the “Islamic State” “whip” 39 people at the junction of the Agricultural Bank in the city, where each person was whipped “200 lashes”, where tens of citizens and children were watching, and in the documented details by the Observatory’s activists; the “mass whipping” took place due to a fighting that took place between residents of Al-Quriyah town and Owiba area’s Bedouins during the past week after disagreements on an agricultural land, which caused injuries in the ranks of both parties, that is when the organization interfered and stopped conflict and infighting between them, the organization also arrested and confiscated their weapons.

Meanwhile, warplanes believed to belong for the international coalition targeted a fuel tank in al-Omar oilfield in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, which led to the outbreak of fire, where the smoke is still rising from the place of bombing.
