New advancement in about 10 areas in the countryside of Al-Raqqah within the operation of isolating the city from its countryside

Al-Raqqah Province, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
Violent clashes are still taking place in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah and in the town of Ayn Issa in the northwestern countryside of Al-Raqqah, between the “Islamic State” against The Syria Democratic Forces backed by warplanes of the international coalition, where the last mentioned managed to achieve a new advancement in the operation of “Euphrates Wrath”, which aims to isolate the city of Al-Raqqah from its eastern and northern countryside in preparation to control the city and expel the organization out of it. The Syria Democratic Forces managed during the past 24 hour to advance and control about 10 farms, villages and sites, including Jumjum, Tal Damer and al-Mshahda which were controlled by the “Islamic State”, rising to 43, the number of villages, farms and sites controlled by these forces since the start of military operations against the organization on the 6th of November 2016, while the organization detonated a booby trapped vehicle in al-Mshahda area, and information about casualties in the ranks of both parties, while tens of citizens continue displacing toward areas away from the fighting areas.
