Palmyra desert witnesses renewed clashes with continued targeting by warplanes for Sokhna and its desert

Homs Province, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
New clashes erupted in the eastern desert of Palmyra between the “Islamic State” against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, amid shelling by the last mentioned on positions of the organization in the area, where each party is trying to achieve an advancement at the expense of the other, also the regime forces continued targeting areas of Sokhna, Kom, al-Tayba, Jabal Stih and the vicinity of the oil and gas fields of Jazl, al-Mohr and Shaer, and confirmed information about casualties and injuries in the ranks of “Islamic State” members due to these strikes.
