In the Eastern Ghouta… about 300 casualties and injuries killed by warplanes and the regime forces’ shelling in 8 days of bombing escalation
With the continued military operations by the regime forces, Hezbollah and the gunmen loyal to them in the Eastern Ghouta, of which aims to control the areas of al-Rihan, al-Shifonyyah and al-Mid’aani and achieve advancement towards the stronghold of Jaysh al-Islam in the city of Douma, these operations were accompanied by an escalation by the regime forces and warplanes that targeted the cities and towns of the Eastern Ghouta as well as clashes areas in the vicinity of al-Rihan and al-Mid’aani, since the 17th of November 2016 until today the 25th of November 2016, causing more casualties and injuries, rising to 49 at least, the number of people who were documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights -including 24 children at least under the age of eighteen and 5 citizen women over the age of 18- they were killed in raids, artillery and missile shelling over the cities and towns of Douma, Arbin, Saqba, Harasta, KafrBatna, Jesrin, Beit Sawa and Msraba, they also targeted other places in the Eastern Ghouta.
The air and artillery strikes on cities and towns of the Eastern Ghouta have injured nearly 250 persons, including tens of children and women, some of them are still dangerous situations, while others were permanently disabled.
This escalation of bombing was accompanied by the announcement of closing schools in the Eastern Ghouta out of fear of the fall of casualties and injuries during the shelling that targeted most of the cities and towns that are still beyond the regime’s control.
