Regime forces killing machines force 30,000 civilians to flee eastern Aleppo

SOHR calls for the international community for immediate response to rescue what left of civilians in eastern Aleppo

The city of Aleppo is witnessing bloody days, the worst since the beginning of the Syrian Revolution in 2011, amid difficult poor humanitarian situation due to the lack of food, and medicine and life materials amid siege and massive bombardment by regime forces and allied militiamen including non-Syrian militia groups since the 17th of November 2016, the massive bombardment continue targeting the city for the 15th day leaving civilians between death and starvation.
The operations to take control on Sakhor, Badro mount, Inzarat, Baedin, Heidaria, Halak, Bustan Basha, Hanano housings, and Shekh Najjar, by regime forces, forced thousands of civilians to flee their homes, about 15,000 have been migrated from the mentioned neighborhoods into the south or the middle of the eastern Aleppo including thousands of children and women who are taking the entrances of the buildings as their temporary shelter as they change it daily everytime the warplanes raid the city, amid lack of food, and medicine.

Also rose to 12,000 the number of civilians who fled  the mentioned neighborhoods into areas not controlled by rebels, including 7,000 into Shekh Maqsoud neighborhood which is taken over by YPG Kurdish party, while the rest have been moved into regime controlled areas of the eastern neighborhoods.

We in SOHR warn from disastrous situation in Aleppo due to the regime’s bombardment and airstrikes which target civilians since 140 days, and we call for the international community to move seriously for finding solution to save what is left of the city before starvation starts ending civilians lives.
