After four days of intense attacks… ISIS controls the entire city of Palmyra, its airport, ancient part and the castle, regime forces withdraw to the desert

The “Islamic state” were able take full control of Palmyra city, its airport, ancient city and the castle after a violent and continuous clashes since the 8th of December 2016, where the organization forced regime forces after the violent and successive attacks in the Palmyra area and the city to withdraw from the city towards the southwestern desert of Palmyra, despite of the intensified air raids by warplanes of the Russians and the regime, which targeted Palmyra city during the hours of last night, also the organization killed nearly 120 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and injured tens of others, in conjunction with the killing and injury of tens of members of the organization.
