Clashes continue in the Syrian Desert

Homs Province, The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
Airstrikes of the warplanes were renewed on areas on the outskirts of Palmyra city and its vicinity, and other areas in the vicinity of oilfields in Palmyra Desert in the eastern countryside of Homs, in conjunction with shelling by the regime forces on areas and positions controlled by the “Islamic State”, where the sound of an explosion was heard near al-Sharifah area in the eastern countryside of Homs, it was caused by the detonating a booby trapped vehicle by the organization, while clashes are taking place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against members of the organization in the vicinity of the T4 airbase and the area around the abandoned battalion, amid advancement for the regime forces, and preliminary information about regaining control of the abandoned battalion.
