Aleppo city is witnessing continued shelling with decline in clashes’ pace after regime forces’ advancement in new parts of the remaining square under the control of factions

The fall of shells renewed this evening on areas in neighborhoods of Hamdaniya, al-Mohafaza and Nazlat al-Mohandesin in the western section of Aleppo city which wounded several persons, while the regime forces intensively shelled areas in the remaining square for the factions in the eastern Aleppo, while clashes are still taking place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions in the contact lines between regime forces’ controlled areas and the factions’ controlled square in the southwestern section of Aleppo city, where the pace of clashes declined after the regime forces were able to advance in al-Sekkary neighborhood, now the regime forces are in control of about half of the neighborhood, the clashes were accompanied by continued shelling by the regime forces. And at the evening of today a violent explosion rocked the outskirts of the factions’ controlled square in eastern Aleppo, it was caused by detonating a booby-trapped vehicle from the point of Jesr al-Hajj which is controlled by the regime forces, while at least 10 people were killed, two of them were killed in the factions’ controlled square and the rest of them were killed in the western part which is under the control of the regime, and tens of others were injured due to the re-escalation of shelling on Aleppo city, after a quit since yesterday night Tuesday until Wednesday morning, which coincided with the preparation for carrying out the Turkish – Russian agreement which states the exit of about 15 thousand people from the remaining part under the control of factions of the eastern Aleppo, and they are about 5 thousand fighter of the factions and more than 10 thousand civilians from their families and those who want to get out of the eastern Aleppo, before the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them hinder the Russian – Turkish agreement, and prevented them from getting out towards the western countryside of Aleppo.

Where the regime hindered the agreement for several reasons, including the presence of about 250 non- Syrian nationality fighters, the regime wants to arrest and investigate them, and the regime did not get anything out of this agreement, because the operation of taking over the areas which are under the control of factions was militarily incontrovertible (from the regime’s point of view) and that the regime was going to control this area in a matter of hours, as well as because Russia had concluded the agreement without consulting or informing the regime.
