22 casualties including at least 14 children and citizen women in Douma and the eastern Ghouta

Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
Shells fell on al-Somariyyeh area west of the capital, no information about casualties, while warplanes continued the escalation of bombing since the dawn of today on the cities and towns of the Eastern Ghouta , leaving more casualties and injuries, where these warplanes carried out airstrikes on the cities of Douma and Harasta causing more casualties, which raised to at least 22 (including 10 children and 4 citizen women) the number of people who were documented by the Syrian Observatory for human rights of who were killed in the escalation of aerial and artillery bombardment since the dawn of Thursday the 29th of December 2016, where the Observatory documented the death of 13 civilians (including 6 children and 2 citizen women) in aerial and artillery bombardment of the city Douma, while a man and his mother and two of his children were killed in raids on Arbin city, also a young man and a girl were killed in shelling on Harasta, in addition to the death of a woman and a child in shelling on Saqba, while the last one was killed in raids by warplanes on Zamalka city, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation.
