The fallen death of Bashar al-Assad’s regime planes leave about 25 thousand civilian casualties and injuries during the year 2016
The barrels of helicopters of Bashar al-Assad’s regime and the missiles of his warplanes are still killing and committing massacres in the Syrian territories, causing more casualties and raise their numbers and the numbers of wounded, displaced and distressed people. These warplanes and helicopters have not had enough killing of the Syrian people during consecutive years of bombing, so they continued the daily crimes against the civilians people, |and escalating the tragedy of the people who rebelled against the dictatorial regime to reach a country of freedom, democracy, justice and equality, and with this continued killing, the Syrian Observatory for human rights documented since the 1st of January 2016 until the 1st of January 2017 more than 31102 air raid carried out by the regime of Bashar al-Assad’s warplanes and helicopter, targeting most of the Syrian provinces.
Where the Syrian Observatory was able to document dropping 16721 barrel bombs by regime’s helicopters on several areas in the provinces of Damascus, Rif Dimashq, Aleppo, Al-Hasakah, Hama, Daraa, Latakia, al-Suwaidaa, Homs, Al-Quneitra, Deir Ezzor and Idlib. Also the Observatory documented 14381 raids at least carried out by the regime’s warplanes, their missiles targeted several areas in the provinces of Damascus, Damascus, Aleppo, Idlib, Latakia, al-Suwaidaa, Homs, Quneitra, Daraa, Hasaka, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Hama.
While the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 2994 civilian citizens, they are 694 person under the age of eighteen, 436 citizen women over the age of eighteen and 1864 man, and in addition to the killing, they also injured about 22000 other civilians and some of them had permanent disabilities, and displaced tens of thousands of citizens.
The raids, airstrikes and bombing also resulted in to the death of at least 2173 fighters from the rebel and Islamic factions, Fath al-Sham Front, the “Islamic State”, the Islamic Turkestan Party and several other factions. The raids, airstrikes and bombing also injured thousands of others.
We in the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and through publishing the documented statistics of human losses, which the civilian Syrians are their main victims due to the military operations in Syria, in addition to documenting the war crimes and the crimes against humanity which are continuously committed in Syria, we are also seeking to send a message to the international community, carried through the cries and pain of the Syrian people, perhaps these shocking statistics, cries and pain may move the conscience of this community to act for the immediate sopping of the ongoing murders against the Syrian citizens, and to bring the criminals to the specialized international courts, so they get their punishment.
