The “Islamic State” renews the counterattacks at the northern banks of Euphrates River

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
Clashes are taking place between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by US Special Forces against the “Islamic State” organization at the northern banks of Euphrates River, after the renewal of counter-attacks by the organization in northern and northwestern countryside of al-Tabaqa west of Al-Raqqah, in order to regain control of sites and villages they have lost over the past days, amid information about their advancement in the area and regaining control of sites they have lost, and the clashes accompanied by the flight of the international coalition’s warplanes over the area and exchange of shelling between the forces and the organization.
