In a new assassination against Fateh al-Sham Front… at least 18 of its members were killed and injured in poisoning and shooting operation at one of their headquarters in the countryside of Homs

Homs province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
Intersecting sources -including medical sources- confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that at least 3 members of Fateh al-Sham Front (Jabhat Al-Nusra previously) were killed, and more than 15 others were poisoned and shot, where a member (it is not known whether he is a supporter of the “Islamic State” or not) put poison in the food one of the headquarters of Fateh al-Sham Front near Deir Ful area in the northern countryside, and then he shot the members who were in the headquarters, the members were taken to medical points in the area to receive the necessary treatment. The sources confirmed that the member who opened the fire was shot dead, and he is likely to be from the Houla area in the northern countryside of Homs.

This assassination operation comes with the escalation of the pace of assassinations by other unknown parties and by the international coalition against leaders and fighters of Fateh al-Sham Front in several areas in Syria, and it is not known whether this operation falls within the operations that affected Fateh al-Sham Front which was escalated since the beginning of this year 2017, where the warplanes of the international coalition and other drones carried out three assassination operations since the beginning of 2017 in the countryside of Idlib, targeting leaders, jihadi leaders and other fighters of Fateh al-Sham Front, and the Syrian Observatory for human rights documented the kill of at least 35 fighters and leaders, they were killed after being targeted by the international coalition’s warplanes or drones since the first of January 2017, including 12 leaders at least, where the Observatory documented the leader Abu Hasan Taftanaz and another Sharia leader of his relatives, they were killed in targeting that took place on the 6th of this month in Taftanaz area in the eastern countryside of Idlib by drones, the Observatory also documented in the 4th of this month 25 others members, including 7 leaders at least in airstrikes by coalition’s warplanes which targeted one of the biggest headquarters of Fath al-Sham Front (formerly Nusra Front ) during a meeting inside it near Sarmada town in the northern countryside of Idlib, which is near the Syrian border – Turkish, also The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights had documented the death of 8 fighters and leaders who were killed on the 1st of January 2017, they were killed in airstrikes that targeted cars they were traveling on at the road of Sarmada – Hazano, and the road of Sarmada – Bab Al-Hawa in the northern countryside of Idlib, and within who were confirmed dead there are 3 leaders in the “jihadist” factions which operate on the Syrian territory, they are Abu Mu’tasim al-Dairi of Syrian nationality and Abu Khattab al-Qahtani the leader in “Al-Qaeda” who previously fought in Afghanistan, Yemen and then moved to Syria, and Abu Omar al-Turkestani who is one of top ten leading “jihadists” in Syria, and one of the four most prominent leaders of the Islamic Turkestan Party, where most of the bodies were blackened except for the body of Abu Omar Turkestani, it was not burned.
