After series of earlier clashes between them… YPG release tens of fighters of “Euphrates Shield” with a mediation by Jaysh al-Thowwar

the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that tens of prisoners are released, they were detained in the prisons of Afrin area which is controlled by YPG in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo, and in the details obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights from several intersecting sources, YPG released 74 prisoners at least, most of them are fighters of “Euphrates Shield” factions and most of them are from Idlib province, they were released after mediation by Jaysh al-Thowwar which is along with YPG are under the flag of the Syria Democratic Forces.

The command of Jaysh al-Thowwar issued a statement and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights received a copy of it, it says:
“”We in Jaysh al-Thowwar have mediated for the brothers in YPG and Asayish forces in Afrin county, and in response to the call of our people in the rest of the provinces particularly in Idlib province, and the appeal launched by the political body in Idlib province as a goodwill gesture, and 74 prisoner were released as a first batch, most of them are military personnel belong to the Euphrates Shield and other military factions. And in this context we call on all factions working on the land of Syria to take this humanitarian work initiative and release all prisoners who are in the darkness of their prisons.””
