Tiger groups and Hezbollah’s elite reinforce their siege on al-Bab and reach a distance of less than 5 kilometers away in the southeastern area of the city

Within their continuous quest to surround al-Bab area and close the last remaining windows of the “Islamic State” organization from this area located in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo, with the eastern countryside of Aleppo and the provinces of Al-Raqqah and Deir Ezzor and the rest of their controlled areas in Syria, and the regime forces led by Tiger groups continued their military operations which they started on the 17th of January 2017, where fierce clashes are taking place between them against the elite forces of the Lebanese Hezbollah and with the support of the Russian artillery and tanks against members of the “Islamic State” organization, at the main road between al-Bab area and the rest of their controlled areas in Syria, where the regime forces managed to regain control of M’eizileh village after controlling Hawarah hill and al-Mujambel area, achieving more advancement towards al-Bab area from the southeastern area of the city, to shrink the distance between them and al-Bab area to less than 5 km, and with this advancement they strengthened the siege on the areas mentioned above, in an attempt to close the remaining dirt roads of withdrawal for the organization, where now it is difficult for the organization to make any withdrawal process from al-Bab because most of the dirt roads are observed by the firearm by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and also by the “Euphrates Shield ” forces and Turkish forces, where the last mentioned failed to hold their control over Bzaah town which is considered eastern gate of al-Bab city section of East, although they have entered the town twice in a row, but that the organization pushed their fighters to carry out counter attacks that resulted in restoring control by the organization on Bzaah town.
