Continuous clashes in the western outskirts of al-Bab and the southern outskirts of Tedef town in its southern countryside

Violent clashes are taking place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and the elite forces of the Lebanese Hezbollah with the support of the Russian artillery against the “Islamic State” organization in the south of Abu Taltal village and other areas in the southern outskirts of Tedef town and the southern countryside of al-Bab, in an attempt by the regime forces to achieve a larger advancement and regain control of the village of Abu Taltal to reach the outskirts of Tedef, after the regime forces being able to reduce the distance to al-Bab city to 2.5 – 3 km, and the clashes were accompanied by shelling exchange between both parties, and these clashes were coincide between the “Euphrates Shield ” forces and Turkish forces against the “Islamic State” organization in the western outskirts of al-Bab city, having the factions and Turkish forces managed to control Jabal al-Sheikh Aqil and the nearby hospital and the vicinity of the youth housing and al-Bab roundabout at the western outskirts, which witnessed on the 21st of December 2016 the first defeat for the Turkish forces and the forces of “Euphrates Shield”, during of which they lost more than 50 members including 16 Turkish soldiers at least.

Also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented Wednesday the 8th of February the death and injury of 40 members at least of the Turkish forces and fighters of the “Euphrates Shield” including 4 casualties of the Turkish soldiers, while tens of members of the “Islamic State” organization were killed and wounded in these clashes and the accompanied intensive shelling, also SOHR received information about the death and injury of many members of the organization and the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in clash that are taking place in the southern countryside of al-Bab.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the rise of number of persons who were killed to 296 civilians at least, including 59 children under the age of eighteen and 32 citizen women over the age of eighteen, in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo, of who were killed as a result of the Turkish shelling on al-Bab city and its countryside and on the towns of Bzaah and Tedef, since the 13th of November 2016, the date of the arrival of a “shield Euphrates” to the outskirts of al-Bab city, and until the 8 of February 2017, and among the casualties there are 235 civilians, including 50 children under the age of eighteen and 28 citizen women, they were killed in shelling by the Turkish forces and Turkish warplanes on areas in al-Bab city and other areas in the towns of Tedef and Bzaah and other places in the countryside of al-Bab, since the first defeat for the Turkish forces in the 21st of December 2016 at the hands of the “Islamic State” organization.
