Shells fell on areas in the vicinity of al-Mokhtariyyeh village which is under the control of the regime forces in the northern countryside of Homs, also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that violent clashes are still taking place in several areas at Palmyra Desert in the eastern countryside of Homs between the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, associated with intense bombardment by warplanes and heavy shelling by the regime forces, amid new advancement for the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in deep in al-Bayyarat and controlling a wide area of ​​the western Bayyarat area west of Palmyra city, and the continued clashes have killed and injured a large number of members of both parties -including a colonel in the regime forces-, and the regime forces had controlled today al-Sammamat area, and this advancement enabled the regime forces to reduce the distance between them and Palmyra city after 34 days of violent clashes between both parties, and they are now about 24 km of distance away from Palmyra city.
