Violent clashes in Al-Raqqah countryside lead to new advancement for Syria Democratic Forces

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
Violent clashes continue in the eastern and northern countryside of Al-Raqqah city, the main stronghold for the “Islamic State” organization in Syria, between members of the organization against the Syria Democratic Forces backed by warplanes of the international coalition, in continuation of the 3rd phase of the “Euphrates Wrath” which was announced on the 4th of February 2016, amid a new advancement for SDF and controlling 2 new villages in the eastern countryside of Al-Raqqah on the road between al-Makman area and al-Karama village, which raise to 7, the number of villages and farms controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces since yesterday, also the Syria Democratic Forces had controlled Shaninah bridge which connects the western and eastern banks of Balikh River, and the continued clashes, aerial and missile bombing have caused confirmed casualties in the ranks of both parties .
