Tiger groups and elite fighters of Hezbollah advance and restore more villages on the road of al-Bab – al-Tabaqa

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that violent clashes broke out between members of the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces led by Tiger groups with the support of the gunmen loyal to them and the elite forces of the Lebanese Hezbollah in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, where the regime forces -after arriving for a distance of about 5 kilometers northwest of Deir Hafer- headed east towards the northern countryside of the town, and took control of Ras Harmal al-Imam village on the road from al-Bab area to Deir Hafer to the areas controlled by the “Islamic State” organization in Al- Raqqah and Deir Ezzor, approaching a distance of 4 to 5 km north of Deir Hafer town, which is still controlled by the “Islamic State” organization, in an attempt to clamp down on the organization and reduce its controlled areas in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. The clashes were accompanied by heavy shelling and intense Russian artillery who support the regime forces, they targeted positions and locations of the “Islamic State” organization, where SOHR received information about the killing and injury of members of both parties during the renewed clashes today the 21st of February 2017.
