The city of Homs lives with shock 48 hours after of the attack that killed and injured tens of regime’s intelligence, the largest operation of its kind

 

The surprise operation that hit the central of Homs city and targeted branches of regime’s intelligence has passed its first 48 hours in a city controlled mostly by Bashar al-Assad’s regime forces, the accuracy and the great goals-achieved operation  within a city which is as important to the regime as much as it is important to be silent, especially after being hit earlier by series of bombings that struck the city successively during the past two years, killing hundreds of persons of civilians other members of the regime forces and the gunmen loyal to them, as well as injuring hundreds of others, some of them have suffered permanent disability and amputations…

 

This military operation has kept the city so far in amazement about what happened in the Military Intelligence and State Security branch, reliable sources told the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the neighborhoods and the streets around the State Security Branch and the Military Intelligence branch in the neighborhoods of Ghouta and al-Mahatta in the city of Homs, and the streets around the rest of the security branches in the city, are in a state of almost complete paralysis, where only few people are in these streets and not as they used to be, and the sources confirmed that due to the security conditions in Homs city; some schools have seen a complete absence of students and teachers.

 

The operation that took place in the city of Homs, which is similar to the operation against the regime’s carried which was out by Jabhat Al-Nusra ( Al-Qaeda organization in the Levant) in the capital Damascus in September 2012- have killed at least 42 members and officers of regime’s intelligence, they are 30 member at least of the military intelligence branch, including the head of the branch, and 12 others were killed in the State Security branch, in addition to injuring tens of others, including the head of the State security branch, who is still in a critical situation, also reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian observatory for human rights that Homs operation took place using silenced weapons, followed by the entry of the self-detonator-infiltrators members to the inside of the walls of both branches, with the help of collaborators members of these two branches, then, a series of bombings took place: three of them targeted the military intelligence branch and two of them targeted the State security branch.
Fateh al-Sham Front (al-Nusra formerly) which took responsibility of the operation did not reveal its details, fearing for the families of the members collaborators from within the security branches in Homs, of whom the regime forces are still in research to uncover them, and to figure out the details of the attack and the breaches through which they entered.
