Palmyra city restore operation kills more than 400 persons in about 50 days, leaves gas and oilfields in the grip of the “Islamic State” organization

 

Mines dismantling operations  by MineTeams and members of the regime forces in Palmyra city continue for the third consecutive day, following the withdrawal of the “Islamic State” organization from the city, but the sound of violent explosions are still heard in the city, caused by detonating the mines or IEDs inside the city whenever they can’t be dismantled, and also caused by the strikes of warplanes and helicopters and the missile targeting in the silos area in the east of Palmyra city and al-Mazar Mountain area north of the city, in an attempt by the regime forces supported by gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities to secure ​​Palmyra city -which they lost 2 times- and keep the “Islamic State” organization away of it, and expand their control in its desert and around the city.

The Syrian Observatory documented at least 115 casualties of members and officers of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in addition to the deaths of more than 283 member of the “Islamic state” organization -including field commanders- and more than 60 fighters of are of Moroccan nationality, while Russia recognized the deaths of 4 of its consultants in the western desert of Palmyra, also hundreds of fighters were injured.
