After killing and injuring about 250 Syrian civilians… the regime forces continue their escalation on al-Wa’er neighborhood amid difficult humanitarian conditions

 

While the regime forces continue besieging al-Wa’er neighborhood in Homs city, the military machines of the regime of Bashar al-Assad continue targeting the neighborhood with shells of the artillery , tanks, mortars and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, and heavy machine guns, sniper fire, bombing by warplanes and shelling by the regime on the neighborhood, which is suffering difficult humanitarian and living conditions, with the repeated preventing of entry for the humanitarian aid convoys to the neighborhood.

This escalation was monitored by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights since it began on the 8th of February 2017 until today the 3rd of March 2017, where the operations of targeting the neighborhood escalated more after the attack that targeted the branches of State Security of Military Security and killed at least 42 members and officers of the regime forces on the 25th of February 2017.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented at least 52 civilians citizens, they were killed in air and missile strikes and by the fire of machineguns and snipers, including 10 children under the age of eighteen and 4 citizen women over the age of 18, while more than 190 others have suffered injuries of varying severity, some other were seriously injured and even had amputations, amid shortage of medical staff and equipment, in addition to the lack of medicines, and among the total number of casualties there are 35 including 9 children and 3 citizen women were killed in raids carried out by warplanes of the regime on al-Wa’er neighborhood.
