The “Islamic State” organization in al-Khafseh area prevents the displacement of persons fleeing regime and warplanes’ shelling towards areas controlled by Manbij Military Council

The “Islamic State” organization continues cutting off al-Khafseh  area’s water in the eastern countryside of Aleppo of about a million and a half million persons in Aleppo city, the second largest Syrian cities, leaving hundreds of thousands of children and citizen women and civilians suffering thirst, and with the first attempt to escape the raids of the regime; the “Islamic State” organization prevented the people from leaving by gun power, a civilian says: “The “Islamic State” organization prevents us from getting out of its controlled areas, how not to do it when it is the one which executed several persons on charges of smuggling citizens outside of its territory ?”.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and with the arrival of tens of thousands of citizens to areas controlled by Manbij Military Council in Manbij city and its countryside in the northern countryside of Aleppo, coming from villages controlled by the regime forces’ of which they still intent to advance to under a cover of Russian artillery who support them, and the strikes of its warplanes and helicopters, SOHR continued to monitor the humanitarian situation and the suffering of civilians in al-Khafseh  area and in areas at the eastern countryside of Aleppo that are still under the control the “Islamic State” organization, where several local sources informed the Syrian Observatory for human rights that hundreds of families had gathered on the contact lines between areas controlled by Manbij Military Council and areas controlled by the “Islamic State” organization, in an attempt by the families to survive from the heavy shelling and intensive raids by warplanes which are carried out on a daily basis on the clash areas and on areas controlled by the organization in al-Khafseh and around it and near the water station, the local sources confirmed for the observatory that organization prevented them from staying on the contact lines and threatened to burn their cars and target them if they did not leave the area.
