The Syria Democratic Forces and US Special Forces control the second village in the eastern countryside of al-Tabaqa and kill more than 25 members of the “Islamic State” organization

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the violent clashes are still taking place in the eastern countryside of al-Tabaqa city west of Al-Raqqah at the southern banks of the Euphrates River, between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by US Special Forces and the warplanes of the International Coalition against the “Islamic State” organization, where the clashes during the past hours were focused in Obada area east of Safsafa area which was controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces 3 days ago, while still the inspection operations are still taking place within the village, in a new quest to expand the control range by the Syria Democratic Forces at the expense of the organization, also the clashes coincided with heavy shelling by the Syria Democratic Forces on the clash areas, and with the flight of warplanes of the International Coalition which targeted the area, while the “Islamic State” organization is still trying to regain control of the area by carrying out a counter attacks on Obada village. The reliable sources confirmed to the observatory that tens of fighters of both parties were killed and injured in these clashes, where 25 members of the organization were confirmed killed so far, the bodies of some of them are with the Syria Democratic Forces.
