SDF seek to besiege ISIS in villages in the northern countryside of al-Raqqa

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that violent clashes continue at a violent pace between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition’ warplanes against the ” Islamic State ” organization in areas in the northern countryside of al-Raqqa city, within the fourth phase of ” Euphrates Wrath ” operation for the 9th consecutive day, and SDF seeks to get closer to al-Raqqa city and isolate the “Islamic State” organization.

The Syria Democratic Forces who started their operations in 2 areas –east and west of the area that is located between al-Raqqa and Tal al-Samn– have managed to advance in both areas, where they controlled the villages of Eastern Kibsh and Western Kibsh, Teshreen farm area and the Governmental Farm, in addition to controlling the village of Hattash, Bir al-Jarbou’a, al-Jarwah, Royal, Om al-Tanak and al-Abbara, and other farms and villages near the area, and they also seek by advancing in both eastern and western areas to connect both areas and besiege the “Islamic State” organization in several farms and villages in the area between their current progress line and Tal al-Samn, or force the “Islamic State” organization to withdraw from these farms and villages, and if the Syria Democratic Forces could connect both areas then they will reduce the distance to al-Raqqa city to only 16 km. The clashes were coincided with exchange of shelling between both parties, and raids by the International Coalition’s warplanes on the clash areas, also about 7 to 8 km separate SDF in the eastern area from SDF in the western area.
