More than 35 members of the “Islamic State” organization were killed during the past 24 hours in the continuous battles to control al-Tabaqa city completely

 

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the battles continue at a violent pace between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the US special forces and the warplanes of the International Coalition against the “Islamic State” organization in the vicinity of the first and the second neighborhood in al-Tabaqa city which is also called “al-Thawra city” which is located along the Euphrates Dam and its extension, where the first mentioned attempt to advance and control al-Tabaqa city completely, after they managed to control about 80% of al-Tabaqa city.

 And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the killing of at least 35 members of the “Islamic State” organization during the clashes which took place 24 hours ago in al-Tabaqa city, and most of their bodies are with the SDF, also members of the SDF were killed and injured due to shelling and clashes against the “Islamic State” organization which withdrew at the dawn of the 1st of May 2017 from the third neighborhood in al-Tabaqa city or which is also called “al-Thawra city” which was built by the Soviet Union in the seventies of the last century, where the “Islamic State” organization withdrew from the first and the second neighborhood, and the sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the “Islamic State” organization had withdrawn because there are no high buildings to fortify their members.
