In the first 24 hours of the ceasefire… Violations in most of the “de-escalation zones” kill one child; the largest escalation is in the countryside of Hama

The cease-fire has completed its first 24 hours, within the “de-escalation zones” which extend from the north of Syria to the south of Syria, and include Idlib province, the northern countryside of both Hama and Homs, the Eastern Ghouta and the Syrian south, since the midnight of Friday-Saturday the 6th of May 2017, and Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the breaches in these areas.

Where the Syrian Observatory documented violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions in areas around the village of al-Zallaqiyyat in the northern countryside of Hama, where the Regime forces advanced there but the factions were able to recover most of what they lost, and the clashes were accompanied by launching more than 260 rocket and artillery shells and dropping about 25 barrel bombs by helicopters and about 35 raids on the village of al-Zallaqiyyat and the towns of Lataminah and Kafr Zita and Zakat village in the northern countryside of Hama, and the clashes were accompanied by targeting by each party for the machines and positions of the other, which destroyed and damaged machines of both of them, where at least 3 fighters were killed and others were injured, and information about casualties and injuries in the ranks of the regime forces, while the factions targeted positions of the regime forces in the vicinity of the clash areas and in areas in Muhradah town.

Also the sounds of shooting were heard in the western outskirts of Aleppo city, they were caused by targeting by the factions for areas in Jam’eyyat al-Zahra’a neighborhood with explosive bullets and machineguns, also clashes took place in ​​Bayanoun town area in the northern countryside of Aleppo between the regime the regime and militiamen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions, also the regime forces shelled the neighborhoods of Qaboun and Teshreen in the eastern outskirts of the capital Damascus, the regime forces also targeted places in Qaboun neighborhood with more than 23 shells, in conjunction with targeting the adjacent Teshreen neighborhood, which resulted in material damage, while the warplanes carried out 2 raids on areas in the neighborhood of Qaboun using about 8 missiles, which damaged property, in conjunction with violent clashes between the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions in the neighborhoods of Qaboun and Teshreen, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces managed to achieve a new advancement and control a block of houses in the area between Qaboun and Tishreen, and information about casualties caused by the clashes and exchange of shelling.

The regime forces also launched 2 mortar shells on area in the outskirts of Muhammadiyah town in al-Marj area and another area in KafrBatna town, which injured a child in KafrBatna, also clashes took place between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the Rahman Corps And Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham in areas in Ashari farms in the Eastern Ghouta, amid exchange of targeting between both parties of the clash, while shells fell on areas in al-Wafedin camp near Douma city in the eastern Ghouta which caused injuries, while the sound of 2 explosions were heard in ​​Jaramana area in the suburbs of the capital, caused by the fall of two shells on places in Kornish al-Janayen area and al-Rawda neighborhood.

In the same context, places in the mid-sector countryside of Al-Quneitra were shelled by the regimen forces, while 4 fighters of the rebel and Islamic factions were killed in targeting by the regime forces in the vicinity of Khirbet Ghazala area in the middle countryside of Daraa, while areas in Daraa al-Balad in Daraa city were shelled by the regime of forces, the regime forces also launched mortar shells on areas in Alma town in the countryside of Daraa and areas in the Western al-Gharya town, while the factions targeted ​​Khirbet al-Ghazala area which is controlled by the regime forces, also areas in the outskirts of Talbiseh and other areas on the road connecting it to the Ghantu town were shelled by the regime forces, which killed a child and information about injuries due to the shelling, Shells also fell on areas in Jabburin village which is controlled by the regime forces, while the regime forces targeted with heavy machineguns areas in Teldo town in Hula area in the northern countryside of Homs, while explosions were heard and several sources confirmed that they were caused by targeting ​​TeirMa’alah area with a missile which caused material damage, but no information about casualties so far.

These violations have killed a child due to shelling on the road of al-Ghantu Talbiseh in the northern countryside, while the Observatory documented the death of at least 7 fighters of the factions who were killed in the first day of the ceasefire in the countryside of both Hama and Daraa, where 4 of them were killed in the vicinity of Khirbet Ghazala village in the countryside of Daraa, and the rest of them were killed in the clashes of Zallaqiyyat in the northern countryside of Hama.
