With the support of the International Coalition… The Syrian Elite Forces and the Syria Democratic Forces advance and reach the eastern frontiers of al-Raqqah city

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the forces of “Euphrates Wrath” operation were able to achieve a new advancement and control the village of Raqqat Samra at the northern banks of the Euphrates River, which is about 3 km east of al-Raqqah city, where the clashes coincided with bombing by the International Coalition on the area, while these forces are trying to hold their control over the village, as a step to repel any counter attack by the “Islamic State” organization on the area.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also received confirmed information about the withdrawal of members of the “Islamic State” organization from areas they used to control in the western and northwestern areas of al-Raqqah, while the military operations, shelling and clashes between both parties have caused confirmed casualties in the ranks of both of them, also the forces of “Euphrates Wrath” operation were also able to advance in the area and control al-Rashid village .
