About 80 civilians and fighters were killed and injured on the first day of bloody clashes between the major factions of the Eastern Ghouta

Clashes continue between the major factions of the Eastern Ghouta, after a re-erupting in the morning of Monday the 15th of May 2017, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that at least 5 fighters of Jaysh al-Islam were killed also 2 fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham were killed one of them is am “Amir”, they were killed during the violent clashes that took place over the last 24 hours in the areas of al-Aftries, Beit Sawa, al-Ashari and Beit Nayem in the Eastern Ghouta, where the clashes were between Jaysh al-Islam against Rahman Corps and Hayyaat Tahrir al-sham.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from several reliable sources that more than 70 fighters of both parties of the clashes have been injured, which may raise the death toll of fighters of both parties, also the clashes between both parties have killed a civilian who was working in his land at the outskirts of Beit Nayem area in the eastern Ghouta, while Jaysh al-Islam shelled areas of Hayyaat Tahrir al-sham with several shells.
