Daraa city witnesses the heaviest clashes since the beginning of the truce in the “de-escalation zones” and more than 50 air and ground strikes target its neighborhoods

Daraa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
Violent clashes are taking place in Daraa city since this morning between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the rebel and Islamic factions and Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, where the clashes are concentrated at the outskirts of al-Manshiyyeh neighborhood and in the vicinity of Sajna area in the western section of Daraa city, this round of clashes are considered the heaviest in Daraa city since the beginning of ceasefire in the “de-escalation zones” on the 6th of May 2017, and the Syrian Observatory learned that the clashes are accompanied by exchange of fire between both parties and with escalated shelling by the regime forces on the clash areas, also the regime forces targeted since this morning areas in Daraa al-Balad and other places in the city with 7 missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, and with at least 25 artillery and rocket shells, in conjunction with the dropping 8 barrel bombs by helicopters and carrying out about 10 airstrikes by the warplanes, all of them targeted Daraa city, also shells landed on areas in Sajna neighborhood which is controlled by the regime forces in Daraa city which injured 6 persons including a child, while 3 fighters were killed in the clashes until now, including a military commander in Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham, and information about casualties in the ranks of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them.
