The Syrian Observatory For Human Rights

312 civilian casualties more than half of them killed by warplanes of International Coalition in 15 days of “de-escalation zone” agreement in Syria  

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights continue monitoring the events and its developments, and has documented during the truce period since the 6th of May 2017 until the night of yesterday the 20th of the same month 26 citizens including 12 children and 3 women, they are 15 citizen including 4 children and 2 women were killed in shelling by the regime forces on the cities of Hammuriyyeh and Harasta and al-Ashari area in the Eastern Ghouta, and on the road between al-Ghantu and Talbiseh and other areas in the northern countryside of Homs, and on the vicinity of al-Lataminah town in the northern countryside of Hama and al-Muzayrib town and Naemeh area in the countryside of Daraa, and 9 persons including 8 children were killed in the fall of shells launched by the faction on areas in Salamiyah city and Asila village which is controlled by the regime forces in the western countryside of Hama and on areas in Daraa city, and a man was killed by a sniper shot at the outskirts of KafrBatna town  in the Eastern Ghouta, and a female teacher was killed raids on al-Hula area north of Homs.

Also the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented the death of 32 fighters of the faction a mine explosion, shelling and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in the countryside of Hama, Daraa, Aleppo and other areas.

While the observatory documented the death of 26 members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, they were killed in shelling, targeting and clashes against the rebel and Islamic factions in several Syrian areas.

And in the areas that are outside the “de-escalation zones”, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented 286 civilian citizens, including 59 children and 52 women, they are:

  • 72 people including 20 children and 13 women were killed in airstrikes on the neighborhoods Al-Hamidiyyeh and al-Ardi in Deir Ezzor city, and the villages of al-Kanawiyah, Rasm Faleh and Samuma in Maskanah area in the far eastern countryside of Aleppo, and Debsi Afnan in the countryside of Al-Raqqah and the eastern countryside of Hama
  • 131 person including 25 children under the age of eighteen and 28 women were killed in bombing by the International Coalition’s warplanes on Al-Raqqah, Deir Ezzor,
  • 34 citizens including 7 children and 3 women were killed in shelling by the “Islamic State” organization on areas in the neighborhoods of al-Qosur and Harabesh and al-Jura which are controlled by the regime forces in Deir Ezzor city
  • 19 citizens including 2 children and 4 women were executed by the “Islamic State” organization in the countryside of al-Raqqah and Deir Ezzor
  • 19 citizens including 2 children and 2 women were killed by the “Islamic State” organization during its attack on the village of al-Bushams in the countryside of Deir Ezzor
  • 29 citizen including 5 children, 4 women and 4 Bedouins were killed by the organization in the villages of Aqareb al-Safyeh and al-Mab’oujeh in the countryside of al-Salamiyah  

The Syrian Observatory also documented 165 members of the “Islamic State” organization who were killed in shelling and clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them in several areas outside the truce areas.

While the Syrian Observatory documented 128 members at least of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, they were killed in shelling, explosions and clashes against the “Islamic State” organization in several areas outside the truce areas, and 8 members killed by bombing by warplanes of International Coalition on places near al-Tanaf area in the Syrian Desert.

And 70 fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces were killed in shelling, explosions and clashes against the “Islamic State” organization in the countryside of Al-Raqqah and the southern countryside of Al-Hasakah, while 50 members of the organization were killed in the same clashes.

The Observatory also documented 85 civilian casualties including 10 children and 3 women, who died in different circumstances and affected by injuries they had before the truce, they are:

  • 39 civilian citizens including 8 children under the age of eighteen were killed by mine explosions in al-Bab area and several areas in the northern and western countryside of Al-Raqqah, and in bomb and mines explosions in the countryside of Idlib.
  • 39 people including a child and a woman were killed in consecutive explosions in al-Mayadin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor and in shooting and detonating 2 booby trapped vehicles in al-Rokban camp and under torture in Syrian security detentions.
  • A woman was killed in shelling by Syria Democratic Forces on the countryside of Al-Raqqah.
  • A man was killed in shelling by the Turkish Forces on areas controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
  • 5 citizens including a woman and a child were killed an earlier aerial bombardment on al-Hula area in the northern countryside of Homs and on the eastern and northern countryside of Idlib.

The Syrian Observatory also documented 36 members of the organization who were killed earlier in the shelling and clashes against the factions and against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them and in different circumstances, in addition to 4 fighters of the factions who were killed in clashes against the organization.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also documented 15 days prior to determining the “de-escalation zones” and the start of the ceasefire since 22nd of April 2017 until the night of the 5th of May 2017,  where the Syrian Observatory documented 173 citizens including 57 children under eighteen and 29 women over the age of eighteen, they were killed in bombing by regime’s warplanes and helicopter and the Russian warplanes, and in shelling by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them, sniper bullets, shells and other circumstances within the areas which were determined later as “de-escalation zones”.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also documented 105 citizens including 31 children under the age of eighteen and 23 women, they were killed in the “Islamic State” organization’s controlled areas, as a result of airstrikes by the international coalition, regime’s warplanes and helicopter, shelling by the regime forces, execution by the “Islamic State” organization and the fall of shells launched by the “Islamic State” organization.
