The most violent clashes since the start of the truce continue in Daraa city, regime forces and warplanes carry out more than 55 raids, air and missile strikes on the city

Daraa Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Daraa city has been witnessing since the dawn of today Monday the 22nd of May 2017, a continued violent clashes between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against the fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and the rebel and Islamic factions in areas at Manshiya neighbourhood in Daraa city, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the violent clashes are accompanied with intense shelling within the 2nd round of the most violent clashes since the start of the “de-escalation zones” agreement on the 6th of May 2017.

Where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the regime forces shelling neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad and other areas in Daraa city with more than 22 missiles believed to be ground-to-ground which caused destruction to the property of citizens, while regime’s helicopters dropped 15 barrel bombs at least on the same areas, the warplanes also carried out about 18 raids on the clash areas and on other areas in Daraa city, while the clash areas witnessed exchange of targeting between both parties, and confirmed information about casualties in the ranks of both parties, while more than 16 shells targeted regime forces’ controlled areas in the city which caused material damage, and information about injuries.
This round of clashes is the second violent battle this city witness since the start of the ceasefire agreement.
