The “Islamic State” organization’s repel makes it harder for the “Euphrates Wrath” forces to control the third dam in Syria and the organization provide its forces stationed in the dam with reinforcements in the southern banks of the river

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from several reliable sources that violent clashes are still taking place between Syria Democratic Forces backed by US Special forces and International Coalition’s warplanes against the “Islamic State” organization in places in Al-Baath Dam area in the western countryside of Raqqa, about 17 km east of Tabqa strategic dam, where the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces are trying to advance in the area and control the dam, which will become the third dam on the Euphrates river to be controlled by the Syria Democratic forces backed by the International Coalition, after their earlier control on Tabqa and Teshreen dams.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from several reliable sources that “Euphrates Wrath” forces are facing difficulties in controlling al-Baath dam, as the organization enhances its self in in the south of the dam in its controlled areas along the southern banks of Euphrates River and in the southern countryside of Raqqa, where the organization provide its members fighting in al-Baath dam and its surroundings, and those participating in repelling the “Euphrates Wrath” forces by ammunition, weapons, equipment and fighters, in an attempt to prevent the Syria Democratic Forces and their supporting forces from advancing to or controlling the dam, which would lead to opening a new battleground between both parties in the southern banks of Euphrates River in the western countryside of Raqqa.
