Violent clashes between the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces against the “Islamic State” organization in the outskirts of Al-Raqqah city and the vicinity of al-Ba’ath Dam

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has learned from cross sources that clashes are taking place between the Syria Democratic Forces and the Syrian Elite Forces supported by the International Coalition’s warplanes against the “Islamic State” organization in areas in the vicinity of the al-Asdiyah farm, about 3 km north of Al-Raqqah city, in an attack by the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces in a new attempt to achieve advancement at the expense of the organization towards Al-Raqqah city, also the clashes are taking place between both parties about 3 km east of Al-Raqqah city in an attack by the Operation Forces on the area in an attempt to achieve advancement at the expense of the organization, where the clashes are accompanied with the bombing by the International Coalition’s warplanes on areas in Al-Raqqah city and exchange of artillery strikes between both parties.

In the same context, the clashes continue in the vicinity and outskirts al-Ba’ath Dam on the Euphrates River in the western countryside of Al-Raqqah city, between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the US Special Forces and warplanes of the Coalition against members of the “Islamic State” organization, where the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces are trying to achieve advancement in the area and control the dam.
