After 21 days of controlling Euphrates Dam… the Syria Democratic Forces besiege al-Baath Dam in an attempt to control the 3rd dam on the Euphrates River

The clashes continues between the Syria democratic forces supported by the US Special Forces and the International Coalition’s warplanes against the “Islamic State” organization in the southern banks of the Euphrates River, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces managed to control al-Hamam village, which makes it the 5th controlled village since Tuesday the 30th of May 2017, after controlling the villages of Baroudeh, Um Qebab, al-Matyourah and al-Hawrah, after clashes against the organization, where the Syria Democratic Forces managed to pass the Euphrates river and turn around al-Baath Dam using wood bridges.

This control enabled the Syria Democratic Forces to advance towards the southern side pf al-Baath Dam located about 18 kilometers to the east of the strategic Dam of Euphrates, and besiege it from the southern side after besieging it from the northern side, and if the Syria Democratic Forces managed to control the dam, it will be the 3rd dam they control on the Euphrates River, reliable sources confirmed to SOHR that SDF supported by the US Special Forces and the International Coalition’s warplanes are preparing to start an offensive towards al-Mansoura town and Hunaida village in order to control them both.
