In conjunction with the grand battle of Al-Raqqah… the regime forces and Hezbollah’s Elite enter the first 2 villages within the administrative borders of Al-Raqqah

Al-Raqqah province – the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: violent clashes are taking places between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities and Hezbollah’s Elite Forces against the “Islamic State” organization in areas at the eastern administrative border of Aleppo province with the western borders of al-Raqqah, and the clashes are accompanied by escalated shelling by the regime forces on the organization’s controlled areas and its positions.

the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the regime forces backed by the Lebanese Hezbollah and led by Tiger groups, have advanced and controlled 6 villages, thus enabling them to advance and enter the first 2 villages inside the administrative border of al-Raqqah, which are Khirbat Mohsen and Khirbat al-Sabea, a year after the regime forces were expelled from it on the 20th of June 2016, after 15 days of entering the administrative border of al-Raqqa, coming from Ithriyah area in the northeastern countryside of al-Salamiyah.
