ISIS stronghold in Syria witnesses continued clashes at its vicinity and outskirts and the US and “Euphrates Wrath” Forces seek new advancement

Al-Raqqa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:: the clashes are still taking place at the outskirts of Al-Raqqa city and its vicinity between the Syrian Elite Forces and Syria Democratic Forces backed by the International Coalition’s warplanes and the US Special Forces against the “Islamic State” organization in areas in the city and its countryside, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the “Euphrates Wrath” operation forces are trying to go deep into the remaining parts of al-Mashlab neighborhood, after they controlled about 70% of this neighborhood, and Syria Democratic Forces and the US Special Forces managed to advance in the west of al-Raqqa city towards al-Jazrah suburb, which is near to the Euphrates River, in attempts to secure more than one area for advancing towards the inside of al-Raqqa city, clashes are also taking place between both parties north of Al-Raqqah city and inside the Brigade 17 and its vicinity.

The Clashes in the eastern, western and northern fronts are accompanied by shelling by the International Coalition’s warplanes on areas in al-Raqqa city and positions of the organization inside the city, in conjunction with shelling by the “Euphrates Wrath” forces on areas at the outskirts of the city, and confirmed information about human losses in the ranks of both parties.
