A commander of a rebel brigade of the “Euphrates Shield” defect with his members and reaches regime forces’ controlled areas in the countryside of Aleppo

Aleppo province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Commander of Ahrar Manbij Brigade along with several members of the brigade have defected from the rebel and Islamic factions of the “Euphrates Shield” operation supported by Turkey, where they headed towards the regime forces who are in the northeastern countryside of Aleppo and joined them, they defected about 9 months after the start of the “Euphrates Shield” operation that managed to achieve a wide advancement and took control of the last remaining ports for the “Islamic State” organization with Turkey and the outside world, the brigade commander confirmed that he has returned with the groups of his brigade because he considers “the Turkish intervention as an invasion and occupation for the land of his homeland”.
