The regime forces start a military operation towards the gate of Deir Ezzor and towards the last city controlled by the “Islamic State” organization in Homs province

The violent clashes continue between the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, against the “Islamic State” organization on the road between the cities of Palmyra and al-Sokhna in the eastern countryside of Homs, in an attempt by the regime forces to achieve a new advancement and regain control over areas they lost to the “Islamic State” organization in the past months and years.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed by reliable sources that the regime forces with the support of the gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationality and the support of heavy shelling using rockets, missiles and by warplanes managed to advance in Hills and heights around the road of Palmyra – Sokhna, after an attack they started yesterday Saturday, the 10th of June 2017, and got closer to Ark town and the its oilfields, and a part of their forces headed towards the 3rd Station to control it, within the first steps carried out by the regime Forces to advance towards al-Sokhna city, which is the last city and the largest residential gathering controlled by the “Islamic State” organization in Homs province, where the regime forces are about 33 km away of it.
