The progress of the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces in the grand battle of Al-Raqqah slows down after reaching the fortifications of the “Islamic State” organization, and the attempts to complete the siege of the city continue

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the violent clashes continue between Manbij Military Council and the Syria Democratic Forces against the “Islamic State” organization in areas at the outskirts of Kasrat Jumaa village at the southern banks of the Euphrates River south of Al-Raqqah city, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the clashes continue in an attempt by the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces to advance in the area and complete the beige of Al-Raqqah city, and to besiege the “Islamic State” organization by advancing to the southern banks opposite of al-Mashlab neighbourhood east of Al-Raqqah city.

Reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces, the Syrian Elite Forces and the US Special Forces against the “Islamic State” organization within Al-Raqqah city have slowed down dramatically, and the sources attributed the reasons to the arrival of the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces to the fortifications of the “Islamic State” organization in Al-Raqqah city, where members of the organization desperately repel the attacks of the Syria Democratic Forces, the Syrian Elite Forces and the US Special Forces, also the organization have planted mines heavily, in addition to deploying its snipers and monitoring most of the roads and it areas, and also because the organization is depending on the counter attacks and the detonating of members for themselves with explosive belts.
