Continued clashes at the southern banks of the Euphrates, south of Al-Raqqah city

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a violent explosion was heard after midnight yesterday in A l-Kasra village in the southern countryside of Al-Raqqah as a result of an ISIS car bomb that targeted areas under the control of Manbij Military Council and the SDF – which are formed mainly of the People’s Protection Units (YPG) – amid continued clashes between both parties in the said area and other areas at the southern banks of the Euphrates. More casualties were reported at both sides. The SOHR published news last night about continued clashes with varied degrees of violence in areas in Al-Qadisiyah, located west of Al-Raqqah city between ISIS on one hand and the Syria Democratic Forces backed by the US Special Forces on the other, amid the latter’s advancement into and taking control of the western part of Al-Qadisiyah neighborhood aiming at taking control of the whole neighborhood. Clashes also continue between both parties in the southwestern countryside of Al-Raqqah where the SDF managed to advance into and take control of Al-Farkha village, while the rocket shelling by the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces on ISIS-controlled areas in Al-Raqqah city is still ongoing.
