Intense exchange of targeting continue east of Al-Raqqah city after counterattack of ISIS groups

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a young man from Deir Ezzor city was killed in bombing by the International Coalition warplanes after midnight of Thursday – Friday on areas in Al-Raqqah city, while a violent explosion was heard yesterday night in al-Mansoura area in the western countryside of Al-Raqqah, it is believed to be caused by the explosion of a booby-trapped car in the southern outskirts of the town, while the intense exchange of targeting continue between the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces and the International Coalition warplanes against the “Islamic State” organization, in several areas in the eastern section of Al-Raqqah city, the main stronghold of the “Islamic State” organization in Syria, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published that the pace of clashes decreased between both parties and turned into sniper fight operations between Deir Ezzor Military Council under the banner of the Syria Democratic Forces and Syrian Elite Forces against the “Islamic State” organization, while Coalition warplanes took the care of the operation of targeting the “Islamic State” organization in the sites it attacked, where the explosions have been shaking Al-Raqqah city as a result of the bombardment by International Coalition warplanes on positions and locations of the organization’s members in the neighborhoods of al-Mashlab, al-Sinaa and their outskirts.

Reliable sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the International Coalition has informed all points of the Syrian Elite Forces, Deir Ezzor Military Council and the Syria Democratic Forces that they must position at certain points and should not move from these positions, where the Coalition will bombard any mobile targets within the neighborhoods of al-Sinaa and al-Mashlab, the clashes between both parties of the clash have injured fighters of Deir Ezzor military Council, and also killed 2 fighters of the Syrian Elite Forces, raising to at least 6, the number of fighters of these forces who have been killed since the beginning of “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces on the 2nd of November 2016.
