With the increase of tension in Afrin area in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo between YPG who control Afrin area and the area extending to the vicinity of Marea with the Syria Democratic Forces against Turkish forces, who are preparing with the factions that work in the countryside of Aleppo to carry out a military operation.
The YPG commander stated to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the area which is between the Jarabulus at the western banks of the Euphrates River and between Azaz which is controlled by the Turkish forces; are “areas occupied by Turkey and every Syrian citizen must defend them, and YPG has no plans to carry out an attack on this area but it sees itself ready and prepared to defend any Syrian area against any kind of occupation of the territory of the country”, also the commander of YPG added that “no direct and explicit evidence about a Russian-Syrian-Turkish agreement for the entry of Turkish forces into the Syrian territory, but at the same time there is no clear reaction by the regime or by Russia to the Turkish occupation of lands in the north of country, which increases the likelihood of existence of undeclared within-consensus between these parties “
