“Euphrates Wrath ” Operation Forces begin a new attempt to advance in Al-Raqqah city and continue their quest to restore al-Sinaa neighbourhood east of the city

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: more explosions were heard in Al-Raqqah city, caused by a renewed bombardment by the International Coalition warplanes and the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces on areas in the city and sites and positions of the organization, in conjunction with the continuation of violent clashes between the “Euphrates Wrath ” Operation Forces led by Syria Democratic Forces against the “Islamic State” organization in al-Sinaa neighbourhood at the eastern part of the city, no information about human losses of the regime forces, where the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces are trying by their new offensive to achieve more advancement and regain control of al-Sinaa neighbourhood from which the section adjacent to the Old City remains, and the clashes are accompanied by exchange of shelling and targeting between both parties, also the clashes continue in an attempt to advance towards al-Hal Market, while the clashes renewed in the southern countryside of the city amid advancement by the Syria Democratic Forces and Manbij Military Council, and information about their control over a village south of Euphrates.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published hours ago that the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces managed to advance and regain control of more than the half of al-Sinaa neighborhood, which is considered the most important neighborhood because it is adjacent to the old city in al-Raqqa city, while the organization retreated to the half of the city which is adjacent to the old city, while these Forces continue their advancement operation at the expense of the organization in an attempt to advance and reach again the walls of the old city in al-Raqqa city, and the clashes coincided with the flying of the international coalition’s warplanes in the sky of the city, and these warplanes carried out airstrikes targeting areas controlled by the organizations and its positions, while the warplanes keep flying and monitoring the movement of the organization inside the neighborhood and the city.

These clashes coincided with clashes of varying levels of violence between the Syria Democratic Forces backed by the US Special Forces against the “Islamic State” organization in the neighborhoods of al-Qadisiyah, Hutteen, and Bareed al-Daria in the western part of al-Raqqa city, in continued attempts by the “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces to advance in the area and go deep into the depth of the city to encircle the organization after the Forces had completely besieged the whole city the day before yesterday.
