First civilians killed by Turkish shelling following the arrival of the Turkish reinforcements to the west of Azaz city as part of the preparation for a military act

The Turkish Forces and the rebel factions continued after midnight on Tuesday shelling the SDF-controlled areas in the north and northwestern countryside of Aleppo. The shelling targeted the villages of Kafr Anton, Jalbar, Qatma, Qastal Jandu, Mar’anaz, Villat at Al-Qadi, Menagh, Biloniyya, Iska, Al-Sheikh Issa and Yazi Bagh, causing the death of a woman and two of her children and the injury of ten more, with various degrees of severity. The number of casualties is still likely to rise because of the critical condition of some of the injured.
The SOHR published few day ago information it received about preparations taking place in the western countryside of Aleppo for an attack there that is expected to happen simultaneously with another in the northern countryside of Aleppo. The SOHR also published that the area of Afrin and its outskirts and the areas controlled by the Syria Democratic forces in the northern countryside of Aleppo, has been shelled repeatedly by the Turkish Forces and the rebel and Islamic and rebel factions, accompanied by exchange of targeting between the factions and the Syria Democratic Forces with shells and heavy machine guns, amid the tensions persisting in the area near the Syrian-Turkish borders since the 20th of June. The SOHR learned that this tension came after the arrival of the reinforcements of the Turkish Forces to the southern countryside of Azaz. Tensions are also mixed up with anticipation in Afrin area for any developments in the current situation amid continued preparations of the factions active in the countryside of Aleppo along with the Turkish forces to carry out a wide-scale military operation against the Syria Democratic Forces in Afrin and the area located between Marea’ and Deir Jamal in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
