Al-Raqqa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights :: Violent clashes take place between the Syria Democratic Forces and the Syrian Elite forces backed by US special forces against members of the “Islamic State” organization inside the walls of the old city in al-Raqqa, in a continued attempt by the Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces to advance again with the support of the international coalition warplanes which continue targeting the areas controlled by the “Islamic State” and its positions in the city, while the clashes are accompanied by an exchange of targeting between both parties, and confirmed information of casualties on both sides of the fighting.
