Renewed airstrikes target the eastern countryside of Hama in the context of Russia’s continued destruction under the pretext of “fighting the Islamic State organization”

Hama province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the “Islamic State” organization launched several shells on areas in the towns of al-Sabbura and Aqraba in the eastern countryside of Hama, which is under the control of the regime forces, no information about injuries, while warplanes continued targeting areas controlled by the “Islamic State” organization in the eastern countryside of Hama, where they carried out more airstrikes on areas in the villages of Hamada Omar, Suha, Akash, Abu Dalia, Om Mayyal, Arshuna, Jruh, al-Naemeh, al-Hanutah, al-Qastal, Qlyb al-Thor and Salba in the eastern countryside of Hama, no information about casualties, where the eastern countryside of Hama has been witnessing intensive raids by Russian warplanes and regime’s warplanes since the dawn of Thursday the 6th of July 2017, the raids targeted the “Islamic State” organization’s controlled areas in this countryside, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the warplanes carrying out 90 raids at least on the villages of Akash, Suha, Salba, Jruh, al-Naemeh, al-Hanutah, Arshuna, Abu Dalia, al-Qastal and Massoud, and other areas in Uqayribat township which are controlled by the organization, amid continued targeting until now by these warplanes, within the Russian quest to control this area in order to get closer to oil and gas fields and control them.

Such an advancement, if achieved, would allow the regime forces to force ISIS to withdraw from an area of about 2500 km2, over both Homs and Hama Provinces and put an end to ISIS existence in Hama completely.
